Allen & heath GLD-80 Pdf User Manuals. View online or download Allen & heath GLD-80 User Manual. Well I have to say that I think a GLD 80 with a 24 channel Stagebox is amazing. Not to forget that when you want to go bigger you can also get the 16 + 8 Rugged box and run it as extender. That way you will run 40 Channels on a single Cat 5. This will also do 120 Meters. It has fewer I/O on the Back which makes it extremely light and compact. GLD-112 is a larger version of the popular GLD-80 mixer, with an extra bank of 8 control strips, increasing the channel count to 28 fader strips in 4 layers. GLD is a user-friendly, cost effective and scalable live digital mixing system, conceptually based on the hugely successful digital iLive series. Need to replace parts for your Allen & Heath product? This will delete all user definable settings on the surface, including but not limited to. With cable length strictly dependant on cable type. Cat6 allows for up to 70m between the iLive MixRack or GLD-80 mixer and the switch, and 10m between the switch and any SoundGrid Server. The Fader Banks The GLD-80 mixer has 2 independent Fader Banks, one with 12 fader strips, the other with 8 fader strips. The GLD-112 has 3 Fader banks with 12, 8 and 8 faders. Each Bank has 4 Layers. This means that the GLD-80 can work with up to 80 fader control strips and the GLD-112 with up to 112 strips.

- Hi Ben,I’m very pleased that A&H released a new firmware. I would like to have more information about upgrades and fixes before installing. the release notes are very thin and I dont see a new instruction manual posted. Where can we get more info ?Side-chain compression/expansion? Please say its in there…John. There is no love for SCC just like with HPF on outputs. I doubt we will ever see either. These guys don’t work in the real world of using these.Sad as I believe this will be the last feature update for the GLD. Can anyone at A&H confirm this? I really was holding out hope.JohnHello swarm intelligence,
Do you have any experience with the new firmware so far?
Improvements? Glitches?
I have a large show coming up and am reluctant to upgrade before that. The GLD upgrade is reversible, but once I upgraded the iPad software, there‘s no way back.As we‘re at it: is there a way to copy and paste EQ settings via remote software? When I dialed in a monitor EQ via iPad on stage, I have to walk up to the console to copy it to my other mon mixes. Am I missing something there?
Thanks a lot for your inputs…As we‘re at it: is there a way to copy and paste EQ settings via remote software? When I dialed in a monitor EQ via iPad on stage, I have to walk up to the console to copy it to my other mon mixes. Am I missing something there? Not on the iPad app. But you can do it on GLD Editor if you use a Windows tablet instead. Thanks ,Art!
No Windows tablet here, but your tip leads me to another idea:
Run GLD editor on my mac and remote that with Splashtop on my iPad….Run GLD editor on my mac and remote that with Splashtop on my iPad….I’ve never found Splashtop to be particularly good in this environment. Too slow and too imprecise IMHO.So what would be the remote software of your choice? So what would be the remote software of your choice?I don’t think any of them work well enough in a live sound environment. That’s why I use a Windows tablet instead of an iPad.@Pit Lenz – Jump Desktop has been working great for us. Compatible with iPhones, iPads and Macs.jumpdesktop.comIt’s very fast. We’ve had no issues.
